Hiway Stabilizers are committed to protecting the environment and are aware of the impact construction and roading activities can have in environmentally sensitive areas. The company is thoroughly conversant with the Resource Management Act: 1991. Special consideration is given to sections 15 and 17 of the Act regarding contaminants from roading activities.

Hiway Stabilizers has developed a comprehensive Environmental Management Manual following consultation with the Auckland Regional Council. This manual covers environmental policy, legislation, responsibilities, incident procedures and operating procedures and will ensure that every effort will be undertaken to protect the environment during the works.

In 2004 Hiway Stabilizers established a new company "Hiway Stabilizers Environmental" to provide specialist services relating to "environmental" contracting.
